This Book of Emotions social story is designed to help children recognize and understand different emotions. It covers six emotions, which include happy, sad, mad, scared, proud, and frustrated.
Through colorful illustrations and simple language, children will learn some of the causes and effects of these emotions, and what they should do when they feel this way. The last page of the book includes an I feel strip and storage for all six emotion cards.
It’s a great resource for parents, educators, and therapists who want to help children develop social and emotional skills in a fun and engaging way.
This social story book is 8 1/2 x 11 with 8 pages, emotion cards for the last page, and 6 emotion picture cards (3 1/4 x 3 1/4) all with editable text.
The old version of this social story is also included but is not editable.
I recommended you print this book on heavy card stock and use thick lamination then bind the pages together with coil, comb binding, or rings. You could also slip the pages into sheet protectors and insert them into a notebook. You will also need to add velcro to the I Feel page.
I have included a ZIP file with a PDF and PowerPoint version along with a Microsoft Word document. Please make sure you have one of these programs if you want to edit the text.
