"Keep Your Clothes On" social story is a great tool to help children with autism learn appropriate clothing behavior and social skills!
As a parent, teacher, or caregiver of a child with autism, you know how challenging it can be to teach them about appropriate clothing behavior in social situations. "Keep Your Clothes On" is designed to make this process easier and more effective.
This social story uses clear, simple language and colorful illustrations to help children understand:
Why it's important to wear clothing
When and where can you take your clothes off?
Who can and cannot see you naked?
and more. . .
The last page of this social story includes a yes-and-no chart for you to test what they have learned.
"Keep Your Clothes On" is a wonderful tool to teach children with autism important life skills. The story is designed to be read and discussed repeatedly, allowing children to internalize the key messages and apply them in their daily lives.
This social story book is 8 1/2 x 11 with 13 pages of editable text.
I recommend you print this book on heavy card stock and use thick lamination, then bind the pages together with coil, comb binding, or rings. You could also slip the pages into sheet protectors and insert them into a notebook.
I have included a PDF and PowerPoint version along with a Microsoft Word document. Please make sure you have one of these programs if you want to edit the text.
